Story Calls

Updated on August 21st, 2026

Story Calls are the simplest way to voice-record stories. Just tell your story over a phone call, and we’ll transcribe it into your memoir word for word. You can use any phone, including a landline.

How to record a Story Call

1. Go to your Storyworth account and open the story you want to record from your list of questions.
2. Then, click on “Talk”
3. Choose ‘’Record it myself”
4. Type in your phone number and click “Request a call”
5. You should receive the phone call within moments. When you answer, you’ll hear an automated prompt with your question. You can begin recording at the beep. Hang up when you are finished.
6. The transcription will appear automatically in your story as soon as it is ready. This usually only takes a few seconds.
7. You can edit the story or add photos to your transcribed story at any time.
