Edit your story

If you have already written a story and you want to make some additions or fix a typo, you can follow these steps to edit your story:

1. Go to your account at: www.storyworth.com/home

2. Click on the story you want to edit from your list

3. Click anywhere on top of your story content (you'll see an “Edit” button appear at the top right).

4. Make the desired changes

5. Click or tap “Save” when you're finished.

Proofread your story

We now have a proofreading feature that will check your story for spelling and grammar mistakes.  We will automatically prompt you to proofread your story when you save it the first time.  But, you can also proofread later on when you edit a story.  Simply click the “Proofread” button in the toolbar while editing your story.

Suggestions will appear on the right, and you can ignore or accept the changes.  Click on a suggestion on the right to see it highlighted within the text of your story.

Preview your story

To see how your story will appear in your final printed book, you can click “Preview” at the top of any story. This will open a new tab displaying a PDF of the story, as it will appear in your final book.

To view a preview of your full book, go to your full list of stories. Click on the “Preview book” button at the top of the page.  If you don't see the “Preview book” link, click “Edit Cover” to customize your cover first.

Note: this applies to both memoir books and celebration books.
