How do I check my stories for spelling and grammar?

Learn how to efficiently proofread your writing for spelling and grammar errors.

Updated on November 22nd, 2025

You can use our proofreader to check a story for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and other issues. To proofread a story open it in the editor and click into the text to begin editing. Then choose PROOFREAD in the upper left, next to PHOTO.

In the proofreader, possible issues will be highlighted within your story, and you'll see replacement suggestions on the right-hand panel. You can choose to accept or ignore any suggestion. If you accept a change, it will be automatically updated in your story.

When you're happy with your changes, click SAVE in the upper right corner of your screen. This will save changes to your story.

Even if you’ve used our built-in proofreader, it’s still a good idea to give everything one last look to make sure it’s just how you want it.
