Upload your photos from anywhere 

You may have photos saved in different places, such as on your phone, tablet, or computer. You don't need to transfer photos from your phone to your computer to add them to your Storyworth stories. If the photos are on your phone, simply log in to Storyworth on your phone and upload them directly from your phone to your story. You can also upload photos from your computer if that's where your photos are stored.  You can also send them as email attachments if that's easiest.  See below for specific instructions, or click to the relevant section from the Table of Contents on the right.

What if your photos haven't been digitized yet?  You may have a shoebox of snapshots or old albums.  Click here for suggestions!

Adding photos via email 

Just reply to the relevant question prompt email (or the email you received after sending in a story), and attach the photo(s) you'd like. Your photo(s) will be saved to, and appear at the bottom of that specific story. 

Adding photos from a computer 

1. Find the relevant story in your list of stories, and click or tap to view that story. 

2. Next, click the main story content to edit the story. 

3. Place your cursor where you want to add your photo(s), then click / tap “Photo” in the top left.

4. This will open a dialog that lets you upload photos or even search for photos on the web. If you choose to upload, click “Select files to upload”, browse for the photo, and click “Upload”. Verify that the photo appears where you'd like within your story.

Adding photos from an iPhone

1. Login to Storyworth at www.storyworth.com/home
2. Tap on your book from your homepage
3. Scroll down and tap on the story that you want to add a photo to
4. Tap on the text to edit that story and tap where you want the photo to go within the story.
5. Next tap Photo to upload a photo.  Note: on a mobile device, the photo button will appear in the top left. But when you are typing, we introduce formatting buttons (B, I, U, for bold, italics, and underline), and collapse the photo button into just an icon, as shown below:  
   
6. Then, tap Select Files to Upload and then Photo Library
7. From there, you can scroll through your Photo Library and tap to select the photo(s) you want to upload.
8. Once you've selected your photos, click the blue check in the top right, and then tap Upload at the bottom.
9. After your photos upload, be sure to save your story!

Adding captions

To add captions, type a line of text directly below a photo. When the story is saved, you'll see the caption centered under the photo.

Troubleshooting steps

If no pop-up window appears when you click “Photo,” you can try these steps:

1. Instead, just drag your photo directly into the text box.
2. Try a different web browser and/or device.
3. Check for pop-up blockers and firewall/anti-virus software
